THE Turner Sims Concert Hall in Southampton wil be spreading Christmas cheer with two festive concerts.
Fire and Sleet and Candlelight, on Thursday, December 9, features folk group Coope Boyoes and Simpson with Fi Fraser, Jo Freya and Georgina Boyes. It promises to get the audience in the seasonal spirit with carols, traditional songs and stories from the English midwinter.
Jazz music might be more associated with summer days, but BBC Jazz Award-winner Ian Shaw, pictured above, and his trio are out to prove that jazz is also for Christmas.
Christmas and All That Jazz, on Thursday, December 16, offers a mix of jazz classics and songs from Ian's latest album.
