Lymington & New Milton boss Ian Robinson fears Woking's superior fitness could be a deciding factor in this evening's FA Cup fourth qualifying round replay at the Kingfield Stadium (7.45).

While the Nationwide Conference outfit were back in training yesterday, the first taste of action the Wessex League underdogs will get after Saturday's 1-1 draw will be when they step out for tonight's pre-match warm-up.

"Being full-time, you'd expect Woking's recovery to be much better than ours," said Robinson. "Whereas they've been back in training, we won't do anything until we go out on the pitch tonight.

"Although they had the ball for long spells on Saturday, what they did with it didn't really hurt us, but I should imagine we'll be lucky to hang onto their coat-tails tonight. Deep down I think we've missed our chance of beating them, but tonight's another game and another opportunity for us. They won't have possession for 90 minutes solid and we've got to be determined to break them down."

Although a mouth-watering trip to Coca-Cola League 2 outfit Notts County beckons for tonight's winners, Robinson would prefer to keep that thought locked away in a corner of his mind until after tonight's game.

"There's a huge carrot dangling there for us, but I can't get my head around it at the moment. To be honest, it's a bit daunting for someone like me," confessed the former AFC Totton boss.

"It's not even worth thinking about because we've got a massive task ahead of us tonight, but we've already done ourselves and the Wessex League proud. I'm told we're the first Wessex club to get into the draw for the first round proper."

Although Robinson has skipper Jimmy Sheppard and towering hitman Michael Jackson available again after suspension, he has a lot of hard thinking to do before finalising his team.

In Sheppard's absence, Paul Morris, player/manager of the Linnets' Combination side, did outstandingly well in central defence after being talked out of first-team retirement. Much will also depend on how quickly Darren Crook (ankle), Jimmy Anderson (dead leg) and Ben Thomson (dead leg) recover from injuries picked up on Saturday.

Woking's main question marks concern former Arsenal midfielder Ian Selley, who limped off on Saturday with a sore toe, and ex-Bristol Rovers and Stevenage marksman Justin Richards who was laid low with flu.

Cards boss Glenn Cockerill, the former Southampton skipper, reckons tonight is by no means a foregone conclusion.

He said: "People say fitness should get us through, but it doesn't always work like that. We were beaten by Dover once in an FA Cup replay, so we know shock results can happen.

"We've had a look at Lymington now and I'd like to think we'll go through, but they played very well as a team on Saturday and deserved the draw. It's important we stay focussed."
