THE BODY of a man was retrieved by the Yarmouth lifeboat yesterday from the Needles Channel off Shingles Beach.
The body - that of a white man in his 60s - was brought ashore at Yarmouth and transferred to the mortuary at St Mary's Hospital in Newport.
A description of the man has been circulated by Hampshire police to other forces to see if it matches the description of any men missing.
