THE Mayor of Fareham has unveiled a retirement flat complex where residents can live independently.
Acacia Lodge in Trinity Street was officially opened by Councillor David Swanbrow who was shown around the 47-room building.
A garden party and jazz played as he did the honours at the flats where old people are supported in their homes enabling them to live independently.
Spencer McCarthy, chairman and group managing director of Churchill Retirement Living said: "We are delighted to celebrate the official opening of Acacia Lodge. It provides attractive, comfortable surroundings in which owners can live with independence, and enjoy peace of mind, in a safe and secure environment."
