FORMER Saints skipper Chris Marsden is wanted by the club he grew up supporting, Sheffield Wednesday.
Owls boss Chris Turner has confirmed an interest in Marsden, pictured above.
The 35-year-old midfielder quit St Mary's at the end of January for South Korean club Busan Icons.
But Turner is hoping the lure of Hillsborough would persuade Marsden to make a quick return to England.
Turner said: "He is one of a few experienced players we are looking at who could help to develop the young players that will be coming to the club.
"He's a good player; he was very instrumental in Southampton's side; he's fit, and he would be excellent for young players."
Marsden made his league debut for arch rivals Sheffield United way back in the 1987/88 season.
