It was a good day for boss Jon Gittens as Fareham wrapped up their season with a 4-0 win over Bournemouth.
Gittens picked up the Daily Echo March club of the month award after his team clocked up five wins and a draw and he was even able to give a midfield runout to two youngsters, Wayne Boud and Danny Bryant, who have impressed in the reserves.
"They both did well and so did Rob Cox in midfield," said Gittens.
Gittens was also pleased with his front pairing of Jamie Musselwhite and Abdoulie Ndoye, who shared the goals between them.
Ndoye set up Musselwhite for the first and then profited when Musselwhite's shot rebounded for him to score.
A Ndoye tap-in made it 3-0 at the interval and, although Fareham took their foot off the gas after the break, Ndoye still grabbed a fourth from the penalty spot.
Gosport Borough won 3-2 at Thatcham Town.
