SAINTS have appointed Steve Davies as head of sales and marketing.
He will replace Paul Blanchard, who has left to join Surrey cricket Club.
Steve, 36, starts on May 24, joining the club from insurer Liverpool Victoria, where he has overseen the Frizzell financial services brand and their sponsorship of the county cricket championship.
His brief will be to maintain and expand the current corporate sponsorship and retail opportunities while developing the club's affinity marketing via the rapidly expanding database.
Steve said: "It is no longer simply about selling tickets and hospitality but about finding ways to work with the fans and local businesses to bring them other offers and services.
"I am coming from the world of insurance which is something everyone needs but it is hardly something to get them excited.
"But the Saints are a much more emotive brand, something people will talk about in the pubs. Mention the club and people are interested right away!"
Steve, born and bred on Merseyside, is an ardent Liverpool fan, just like his predecessor.
As previously reported in business South, the Saints also have two other new faces.
They are head of sales Rupert Vitoria and sponsorship executive Georgie Sayle.
