WARSASH Sea Scout Group has applied for status as one of the few Scout groups in the UK to be recognised by the Royal Navy.
The status demands a high standard of leadership and traditional scouting activity, as well as water-based activities and offers groups the use of certain naval facilities.
With an initial inspection to take place on May 5 at the Scout headquarters in New Road, Warsash, they are hoping that the visiting RN officer will look upon them favourably.
