The family of murdered Danish student Camilla Peterson have approved designs for a memorial to be erected at the beauty-spot where she was killed.

The 15-year-old was murdered in 2002 by Richard Kemp, a 53-year-old Gosport man as she was sketching in woodland near Brading.

Island tree sculptor Paul Sivell was commissioned to create the memorial to the youngster, which is based on her own drawings of a woodland warrior. Her mother Lonni is expected to visit the Island in July to mark the second anniversary of her daughter's death, along with other members of the Peterson family.
