TALK: Last week, a talk was given by explorer John Pilkington about his adventure trip up the Mekong, to find its long disputed source.

TOMORROW: The Cats Protection League is holding a fayre at the Ambrose Allen Centre, starting at 1pm.

ALSO tomorrow: At the Memorial Hall, on The Green, there is a whist drive and raffle, in aid of the Royal British Legion Women's Section, starting at 7.30pm, with lots of good prizes.

HURST: On Tuesday, The Hurst Leisure Centre has two sessions of creative computing, from 10am to noon and 1pm to 3pm.

These are aimed at families with children aged from six to 12, where they will learn how to use the computer to create Easter cards.

Then, on Wednesday, from 1.15pm to 2.45pm, the Hurst Toddler Group will be having a guest tutor to teach Indian head massage.

On Thursday, from 10am to noon and 1pm to 3pm, there is a surfing the internet workshop for children aged seven to 11. Booking is essential. Call 0118 9811611.

LIBRARY: Also on Thursday, the library is holding a free joint stories and craft event from 10.30am to noon, for under-fives.

GOOD Friday: Churches Together Around Tadley's Walk of Witness leaves St Mary's, Newchurch Road, at 10am, and proceeds along Bishopswood Road then down Franklin Avenue to the library and on to the Salvation Army Hall for a service at about 11am. All are welcome.

ALSO on Good Friday, children up to the age of 11 are invited to an Easter workshop at St Paul's Church, from 9am to 12.30pm. For details, call 0118 9700480.
