PARISH council news from its March meeting: Sandy Johnston reported that the draft parish footpath map would soon be available.

It was noted that Croudace had produced its own Welcome Pack, and Sherfield Village Hall had contributed to the document.

The borough council had been asked to consider installing a footpath between St Leonard's Church and Sherfield Park.

A parish council logo was considered. The Breach Lane sculpture was favoured by the parish council with a slight amendment.

How to progress the Parish Plan? No further action until after the new council is formed in June.

In open forum, John Fearon explained the latest situation regarding the Tetra mast situated on Scats land at Wildmoor.

Tennis courts - it was reported that, from April 1, tennis court fees would increase to £2.50 per hour for adults and £2 for juniors.

EVERGREENS Fair: The Evergreens will be holding its meeting on Monday, where final preparations will take place for the spring fair which is on Saturday, April 10, at 2pm in the village hall. All are welcome.

FETE: Plans are coming together for this year's fete. A meeting took place last night. Update next week.

TOADS: Sadly, lots of toads have been lost this year due to the increased volume and speed of traffic using Wildmoor Lane.
