JUMBLE sale: Tomorrow, at East Oakley Village Hall, starting at 2pm.

There will be a raffle, bric-a-brac, toys, a tombola and a cake stall. Donations are welcome and can be left at the hall after 10am, tomorrow.

PROMISES, promises! Oakley Junior School is holding an Auction of Promises at the school on Friday, April 23.

Lots will be previewed at 6.30pm with the auction starting at 7pm.

So far, the promises include ironing, two days' gardening, keep-fit sessions, a night in with champagne and chocolates, babysitting, hair cut and blow-dry at home, typing of documents or fitting a burglar alarm to your house.

Any other promises are welcome. Put your offers of promises in an envelope and send them to the school office. Call 782082 with any queries.

Entry to the auction costs £1 on the door, but if you cannot attend you can make a sealed bid by buying a programme before the auction night. Contact Oakley Junior School's office on 780433.

OAKLEY Woodlands Group: Work parties continue this Sunday, in Cowdown Copse, starting at 10am and finishing at 1pm. Refreshments and tools are provided.

FRYING tonight! Well, Wednesday night actually. The fish and chip van comes to the school lay-by in Oakley Lane on Wednesday just before 7pm.
