BRIGHTON Bell: The committee met on March 18.

This popular magazine is distributed throughout Brighton Hill and contains many interesting features.

The financial report showed that the accounts are well managed and in credit. Payments for advertising are still due, so prompt payment would be appreciated.

Jo Hill, our new police officer, joined the group, and was very welcome.

I was pleased to meet her and discover that she works with young people in Brighton Hill.

The next meeting will be the AGM on June 24.

VIABLES open meeting: This was well attended on March 10. Though it was not possible to elect a new management committee at this time, the steering group will continue to meet, and new members are encouraged to apply to join the group.

MANOR Field Junior School: Staff joined an art training session on March 19. Trainees began by creating three-dimensional objects. For example, I chose a horse and began by using scrunched up newspaper to make the right shapes.

In class, children will be encouraged to make their own three-dimensional objects and experiment for themselves.

From their experiences it is believed they will discover how to draw.

COUNCILLOR'S surgery: On April 3, you can meet me in Main Reception, at Brighton Hill Community College, from 11am to noon.
