INTERNATIONALLY known for their authentic and lavish productions, the celebrated Carl Rosa Company returns to Woking next month with the much-loved HMS Pinafore.
A nautical tale of romance and mistaken identities, this scintillating sea-faring smash hit is bursting with Gilbert's brilliant satiric wit and packed with a sensational score of favourite songs, including When I Was a Lad, I'm Called Little Buttercup and I am the Captain of the Pinafore, all of which will be performed live by Carl Rosa's renowned orchestra.
Directed by acclaimed actor Timothy West, and starring Colin Baker - best-known for his role as Dr Who - as Sir Joseph Porter KCB, this brand-new production features authentic period costumes.
The beautiful sets have been designed by Christine Edzard, the designer responsible for many film favourites such as the Oscar-winning film Little Dorrit.
Performances run from Tuesday, March 9, to Saturday, March 13.
Tickets are priced from £10 and all performance information is available from the box office on 01483 545900 or online at www.theambassadors.com/woking
