FANS OF classical music will be in for a treat next week as Winchester Cathedral plays host to a celebration of 17th century Portuguese and Italian music.
The Sixteen are currently on their fourth choral pilgrimage, A Golden Age - Inspiring Music in Great Cathedrals, dedicated to bringing this little-known style of music to British audiences, and on March 6 the pilgrims come to Hampshire. The event starts at 7.30pm and there will be a short talk about the cultural background of the music before the performance begins.
