Lymington & New Milton made it eight wins on the trot with a little help from one of their former favourites.

Paul Sims has re-signed for the Linnets as cover for midweek games but will continue to play on Saturdays for Lymington Town.

It took L&NM 70 minutes to break down a stubborn Hamble ASSC side at Follands Park, but it was Sims's cross that finally set up a Ben Thomson header.

With a minute to go Thomson turned provider, interchanging passes with Kevin Reacord who slid his shot under the keeper to seal a 2-0 result.

Reacord had hit the bar with an overhead kick in the first half but Hamble also had their chances, forcing Alan Walker-Harris into a couple of good, early saves.
