Andover, the area's other beaten Vase quarter-finalists, also bounced back with a 4-0 result over Blackfield & Langley at the Portway Stadium.
Sam Rae (2), Vince Rusher and Danny Sullivan got the goals, but the night was scarred by red cards for Andover skipper Glen Damen and the Watersiders' Danny Neville.
Damen was also sent off in the Vase defeat at Winchester last Saturday, but the Lions will be appealing against last night's dismissal on the grounds of mistaken identity.
They say it was Paul Gulliver and not Damen who committed a two-footed tackle.
