GUESTS at the Wessex Heartbeat charity fundraiser Take 4 Chefs enjoyed an evening of unrivalled cuisine thanks to the expertise of celebrity chefs who were on hand to create a culinary extravaganza.

The TV chefs helped raise £44,000 for the charity, which supports the Wessex Cardiac Unit at Southampton General Hospital.

The event was sponsored by accountancy and business advice firm Tenon, which has offices in Eastleigh and has long been associated with the charity.

Tenon director Nick Parker said the evening had been a huge success

"The evening's entertainment centred around stunning dishes from top chefs including James Martin, Brian Turner, Tony Tobin and Paul Hollywood who conjured up a fabulous four course gourmet meal,'' said Mr Parker, who previously run the London Marathon for Wessex Heartbeat in 1994.

"The whole evening was superbly compered by Lionel Blair and the setting at the Royal Bath Hotel in Bournemouth included Chitty Chitty Bang Bang,'' said Mr Parker.

"We were delighted to continue our association with Wessex Heartbeat in such style with a great combination of fundraising, wonderful food and excellent company.''
