ISLE of Wight group The Bees are creating a buzz in music circles again with a UK tour and a new single announced.
The band received a Mercury Music Prize nomination in 2002 for their debut album, Sunshine Hit Me, which was recorded in a garden shed in Ventnor on the Island.
They have now moved up in the world, recording their follow-up album, Free The Bees, which is due to be released in June, in the famous Abbey Road Studios in London last year.
Their new single, Was in the Rain, is to be released on April 19 but you don't have to wait until then to hear them.
The first date of their UK tour brings them to the Wedgewood Rooms in Southsea on March 29.
Tickets are priced £8. For more information call 023 9286 3911.
