Saints are preparing for another ticket rush for the Carling Cup clash against Pompey - after the November 22 date with Chelsea sold out in just five hours.

Tickets for the Carling Cup fourth round tie, the first match between the two clubs for nearly nine years, will go on sale on November 17 to season ticket holders.

They will be available to members from November 24 and will go on general sale on November 28 - less than a week before the Sky televised showdown on December 2.

It has been made a "Gold" game and is certain to be the seventh successive sell out at St Mary's as extra time and penalties will decide the winners on the night.

The Premiership game between Saints and Pompey on Sunday, December 21 (kick-off 12.30pm, live on pay-per-view) will also be all-ticket and has been twinned so priority will be given to regular fans.

Tickets go on sale on November 10 to members also buying for the home games against Charlton, Leicester or Fulham.

They then go on sale to season ticket holders not buying for the extra games on December 1 and to members not buying for the additional games on December 8.
