AROUND 500 homes on the Isle of Wight were without power today after heavy thunderstorms swept across the south coast.
Power lines crashed down in the Ryde area overnight. It is hoped supplies will be restored by lunchtime today.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said its crews had not dealt with any major flood or storm-related incidents across the county overnight.
