Lymington & New Milton are on cloud nine this morning following their devastating demolition of Hythe & Dibden in the second round of the Hampshire Senior Cup at Fawcetts Field.

The high-flying Linnets lashed nine goals without reply past their Hampshire Premier Division opponents with the Linnets' special K strike-force of Kev Reacord and Kev James each plundering hat-tricks.

A fine solo effort from Ben Thomson opened the scoring after four minutes, quickly followed by a Paul Sturmey header from Thomson's flag kick to make it 2-0.

Reacord then slammed in a stunning 35-yarder, bagged a simple tap-in from a neat pull-back from the byline before quickly completing his hat-trick with Kev James rifling in a sixth before half-time.

The goal-hungry Reacord, pictured, hit his fourth and Linnets' seventh goal soon after the restart with James poaching goals eight and nine to round off his treble-shooting exploits for the home side.

The only down side for Lymington was the dismissal of Darren Curtis, who was red-carded for an alleged head-butt on Wayne Harvey after the Hythe man had brought him down.

Andover hot-shot Justin Bennett was another hat-trick hero as the North Hampshire outfit booked their third round ticket with a 7-1 battering of Bishop's Waltham.

Yet it was the Hampshire Premier Division outfit who snatched a shock early lead before Bennett bagged a quick-fire brace to earn Andover a 2-1 interval advantage.

The Lions ran wild in the second half with Bennett completing his hat-trick and Danny Sullivan (2), Dean Cole and Vince Rusher clocking up a convincing 7-1 scoreline.

"It was a comfortable win in the end but their early goal certainly acted as a wake-up call for us," admitted Andover secretary Chris Jeremy.

Moneyfields striker Lee Mould was dropped for the midweek clash with local rivals Fareham but he returned to the fold on Saturday with a sparkling four-goal salvo as they napped SWL rivals Alton Town 5-1.

"It was Lee's work-rate which got him the goals today," smiled Moneyfields boss Calvin Hore. "He's worked extremely hard throughout the game and has been rewarded with the goals."

Master marksman Mould opened his account from the penalty spot on 30 minutes after the Alton 'keeper hauled down teammate Sean Wayne.

Mould then intercepted a pass across the back four to notch his second with Ashley Edwards crashing in a spectacular third before the visitors scrambled one back on half-time.

A great move ended with Gavin Jones feeding Mould, who completed his hat-trick with a low 20-yard drive, and then Mould played a neat one-two with Edwards before crashing in the team's fifth on 80 minutes.

The first of three meetings between Christchurch and Fareham Town at Hurn Bridge over the next 18 days ended with the visitors drawing first blood as they claimed a 1-0 victory.

The only goal of the game came midway through the second half, Richie Way dribbling half the length of the pitch and crossing for Peter Wood who crashed home a volley from the edge of the penalty area.

Christchurch get a quick chance for revenge on Saturday when they meet same place, same time for a SWL match and Fareham head back to Dorset on November 18 for a Russell-Cotes Cup second round clash.
