A BARN dance is being held in Andover Road Village Hall on Saturday, November 29, from 8pm until 11pm, with music provided by local ceilidh band "Sharon's Handbag".
The ticket price of £10 includes supper, but please bring your own drinks and glasses. Ticket numbers will be limited, so to get yours, contact 782210.
The proceeds will go towards the upkeep of the hall.
WOODLANDS group news: The first work party this month will be on Saturday, November 8, in Cowdown Copse, from 10am to 1pm.
As usual, tools and refreshments are provided.
RAMBLERS club Sunday walk: The next walk is on November 9. Please meet at the Kennet Way lay-by at 9.50am for a 10am start.

CHAMPION ploughman, Steve Wrigley, from Park Farm, Oakley, gained his award at the Basingstoke and District Agricultural Society ploughing match, held on October 4 at Western Farm, Micheldever Station.
