AFTER the success of last year's fundraiser to build a sensory garden, organisers didn't think twice about staging another fun day at The Meadows hospital to raise cash for another good cause.

More than £1,000 was raised last year, which enabled the sensory garden for psychiatric patients at the Fareham hospital to be built.

The day was so popular it prompted organisers to make it an annual event and on Saturday dozens of people joined in the fun while at the same time raising money for the hospital.

Charge nurse Paul Kavanagh said: "We took about four months organising this but we had such a good response last year we had to do it again."

One of the highlights was the It's a Knockout competition, which included teams of nurses from Winchester and Portsmouth.
