THE FULL title of this show - The Complete Lost Works of Samuel Beckett as Found in an Envelope (Partially Burned) in a Dustbin in Paris Labelled 'Never to be Performed. Never. Ever. EVER! Or I'll Sue! I'll Sue from the Grave!!! - suggests that this isn't an entirely serious interpretation of the great playwright's works.

In fact, the show features seven supposedly recently discovered Beckett scripts, including his first ever dramatic piece: Happy Bunny Visits Sad Sad Owl, allegedly written by young Samuel at the tender age of seven, and presented at the Theatre Royal in its 'original' puppet form.

The show also features Foot Falls Flatly, which was apparently written posthumously.

The Complete Lost Works of Samuel Beckett... will provide plenty of laughs for fans of the playwright and anyone looking for a few laughs at the expense of literature.

The show, performed by Theatre Oobleck and the Neofuturists of Chicago, was a complete sell-out at last year's Edinburgh Festival and is sure to be a big hit in Winchester this week.

May 6 & 7, Theatre Royal, Winchester. Performance: 7.30pm. Tickets: from £8. Box office: 01962 840440.
