ENTERTAINING Easter activities for children will be offered at Manor Farm near Bursledon during the Easter holiday.

Paper posies, egg painting and nature notebooks are just some of the activities the youngsters aged five to 11 can take part in at the historic farmhouse under the guidance of Victorian farmer's wife, Mrs Earwicker.

Children will be able to join Victorian woodsman, Walter Stabbs, on 'Walter's Walk' a guided tour of the farmyard, where they can help with the daily care of the smaller farm animals while learning about life on a farm in the early 1900s.

Visitors over the Easter holiday can also take a look at the newborn lambs and chicks at the farm and watch the cows being milked.

Children can also attend daily lessons in the Victorian Schoolroom when they hear a bell ring. They learn about what school life was like in Victorian times.

Manor Farm is open daily from 10am to 5pm and the Easter holiday activities run from Monday April 14th to Friday 25th and children wanting to take part need to be accompanied by an adult. For further details, please call Manor Farm Country Park on 01489 787055.
