PINK daffodils and blue tulips are not just a figment of the imagination.
The colourful blooms imported from Holland are proving a big hit at one plant nursery in Shedfield.
Garden enthusiast Janet Adams wanted to do something slightly more unusual when she opened up her business last year.
Now she regularly goes to Holland and comes back with an eclectic selection of beautiful bulbs.
"There are so many nurseries in the Meon Valley that I really felt I had to do something different," said the 52-year-old.
"The flowers have been very popular and I've nearly sold out of candyfloss pink daffodils."
As well as telling customers how to grow her eye-catching flowers from bulbs, Miss Adams also sells compost, hanging baskets and bedding plants.
She set up her business off Botley Road through the government Inbiz scheme aimed at getting the long-term unemployed back into work.
