AFTER Basingstoke Town's five-match unbeaten run came to an end in controversial circumstances on Tuesday night at Billericay, they will look to bounce back tomorrow when Hayes are the visitors to the Camrose.
Town suffered a 1-0 defeat in Essex, being undone by a harsh first-half penalty, in the eyes of Town boss Ernie Howe.
Howe said: "I think we played well enough to earn a draw at Billericay especially in the second half."
As well as the defeat, Town had more bad news as defender Neville Stamp suffered a hamstring injury, which rules him out of tomorrow's game.
Earlier in the season, Hayes - relegated from the Conference at the end of last season - beat Basingstoke 1-0 and tomorrow will be their first league visit to the Camrose since 1993, when they lost 4-1.
Howe said: "It will be a very tough game. When we lost 1-0 up there, I thought at the time they were one of the best sides we played. I also saw them beat Purfleet 2-1 recently."
He added: "I think it will be an interesting game and one we will look to win."
