ANTON JACKSON (Eddie Griffin) is the Undercover Brother of the title, a 70s cool cat wannabe whose fashion sense and ideals are three decades out of date.
By chance, Anton meets The Chief (Chi McBride), who runs an organisation known as B.R.O.T.H.E.R.H.O.O.D., which promotes racial equality and harmony.
The Chief enlists Anton to go deep undercover and infiltrate the inner circle of presidential candidate General Boutwell (Billy Dee Williams), who has abruptly abandoned his political ideals to start up his own fried chicken fast food chain. Anton is joined on his quest by four B.R.O.T.H.E.R.H.O.O.D. agents: Sista Girl (Aunjanue Ellis), Conspiracy Brother (David Chappelle), Smart Brother (Gary Anthony Williams) and token white boy, Lance (Neil Patrick Harris).
