ANTTI NIEMI provided the highlight of a dull 0-0 draw between Saints and Charlton at St Mary's this afternoon.
Coming in for Paul Jones, the Finnish international produced a brilliant save to deny Claus Jensen's 25-yard free-kick in first-half injury time.
Saints battled well and enjoyed the lion's share of possession, but again struggled to create clear cut chances.
The best chances of the afternoon fell to Claus Lundekvam, who blasted over from five yards and Jo Tessem, who had a first half header cleared off the line by Chris Powell.
But it was another lacklustre display and Saints have only managed three goals in their first seven Premiership matches.
The result keeps Charlton a point above struggling Saints in the table.
In the dying moments, Niemi was called upon to make two more decent saves.
The first came from a low drive from Chris Bart-Williams while the second was a header from Jon Fortune.
