ART lovers have a new piece of work to marvel at when they visit a Southampton art gallery.

Michelle Aburrow painted an abstract landscape straight on to the wall of the A Space gallery in Old Northam Road, St Mary's.

Gallery bosses wanted to leave the untitled mural, but now plan to replace it with new pieces of art.

But the work has been well documented and the 26-year-old Southampton Institute graduate who lives in Bitterne Park is looking forward to seeing a

version of it at www.aspace4.com - the gallery's website which is to be launched soon. Michelle said she had taken inspiration from different landscapes around the world but likes the abstract aspect so everyone can read something different into it.

She said: "People always tell me my work reminds them of somewhere they have been."
