MUSIC-loving youngsters at a Southampton school discovered the sounds and moves of South Asian dance and music during a workshop.
The day-long event at Fairisle Infant and Nursery School was run by Kala The Arts, which promotes Indian culture through interactive workshops in schools.
Suzanne Ottens, head teacher at the school in Fairisle Road, Lordshill, said: "The Activities Plus funding was given to us by the Outer Shirley Regeneration Board so that we could stage extra activities for our pupils without having to charge parents.
"The Kala Arts workshop proved a lot of fun and was an unusual way of introducing the children to other cultures through music and dance."
