Hamble ASSC Reserves progressed into the last eight of the Senior Cup with a hard fought 2-1 derby victory at Netley Central.
It was a typical game of two halves with Aeros well on top in the first half and taking a two goal lead.
Robbie Ackroyd put Aero in front blasting home from the edge of the box after picking up the ball on the half way line, and Rick Butler made it two following a Darren Hedges corner. Stand-in Netley keeper Paul Davis was left woefully exposed as Butler headed home.
Netley dominated after the break and pulled one back with ten minutes remaining when Mick Mullins beat Nick O'Donnell and, despite a couple of good chances that fell to Pete Castle, Netley could not force equaliser.
Aeros visit the winner of the January 8 match at Fawley where Bishop's Waltham are the visitors.
Vosper take on their own reserves in another tie on Tuesday night.
Q K Soton and AFC Totton will try again on January 8 with the victors travelling to face either Vospers team.
