WHITCHURCH mayor Cllr Barry Jackman held a special prizegiving ceremony in the Town Hall for the winners of the Christmas card design competition.
The winners in the Testbourne Community School category were Lauren Williams, who took first prize, Annabel Watson, who came second and Sarah Louise Partridge, who was third. Due to the high standard of entries, there were no first, second and third prize winners in the primary and pre-school categories, so prizes were awarded to the best entries.
At Whitchurch C of E Primary School, the winners of the infant category were Alice Titcombe, Charlotte Smith and Aliza Atkins, while David Field, Loretta Readings, Katie Prior and Lauren Readings won prizes in the junior category.
In the pre-school category Josh Wanless and Shaun Fruen from Jack and Jill Playgroup won prizes as did Joanna Gorsuch and Susannah Jackman from Rising Fives Pre-School. Prizes were supplied by Newbury Building Society, Fickle Pickle and Boormans.
