LEADER of Test Valley Borough Council, Coun-cillor Ian Carr, has welcomed the news that all three services who had re-applied for Charter Mark Awards this year have been successful.

Commenting on the news Mr Carr said: "The council's commitment to providing the highest possible standards of service to the community is underlined by the welcome news that our revenues, housing and environment and health services have all received Charter Mark awards for customer service again this year. It is exceptional for a council of our size to hold three of these awards.

"It is a tribute to all concerned that these services continue to meet the very high standards of customer service and improvement necessary to retain these awards.

"This success represents more than a plaque to hang on the wall, and shows that independent assessors are satisfied that the needs of the community are understood and that these services will be continually developed to meet those needs in the future".
