Alresford Chamber of Commerce is already thinking about next Christmas with a scheme to upgrade the town's festive lights.
The chamber has installed some alternative lights around the town to help the committee make a decision and it has invited residents to comment.
"Because of the cost, we will tackle the replacement over a three year period," said chairman, Andrew Merry.
"We are very grateful to Winchester City Council who have given us a grant again this year towards the cost of the bulbs and to our good friends the Alresford Pigs, who each year install the lights in return for a donation to their charity funds," he added.
The lights will be up until Saturday, January 4th, and comments on the new ones may be sent to the chamber, c/o Dutton Gregory in Broad Street; by e-mail to chamber@alresford. org or by phone to Andrew Merry on 01962-733593.
