LUCKY toddlers had fun getting to grips with brand-new play equipment at Basingstoke's newest nursery school.
Timbers Nursery School is a purpose-built facility at the recently-completed Oakridge Hall for All, for children aged between two-years-and-eight-months and five.
Nursery manager Carol Sneath said she has had good feedback from parents over the Oakridge Road building.
Carol said: "We can offer PE in the main hall, simple cooking and computer skills.
"When parents come here they are very impressed with what they find."
She is hoping to expand her service in April by introducing Wrap Around Care, allowing parents more time to do other things.
They will be able to leave their youngsters at the nursery for up to three-and-a-half hours, and the children will be able to have breakfast or high tea.
Carol said: "Most pre-school sessions last for just two-and-a-half hours. Having longer sessions will allow parents to do college courses or get a part-time day job."
