FLOOK'S unique combination of flutes underpinned by guitar and bodhran-playing has made them a popular feature of the live circuit.

Combining traditional tunes with contemporary beats, they are one of the most innovative emerging bands of the day.

They are equally at home in front of festival crowds, theatre audiences, workshop gatherings or smaller venues, like Talking Heads.

The four-piece band got together in 1995, although they have had their current line-up since 1998.

They have also been through a name-change, exchanging Fluke for Flook.

Talking Heads, Portswood, November 16. Performance: 9.30pm. Tickets: £6. Box office: 023 8067 8446.
