Bounty recorded a great win over high-flying, and previously unbeaten, Greenacre 2 in their latest Berkshire Division two match.

Fourth and fifth strings Kevin Bevington (back row, second from left) and John Fowler (front row, right) got the home side off to the perfect start as they each won 3-0.

However, the next two matches were somewhat closer as both skipper Neil Brook (front row, left) and Andy Watts (back row, second from right) found themselves at two games all.

Watts unfortunately went down, but Brook came through to win 3-2 to clinch the match. In the first string rubber, Phil Tuck (back row, extreme left) put up a strong fight but went down 3-1.

The previous week Bounty travelled to Fitness First and returned with a creditable 3-2 win.

Bounty's Hampshire Team remain top-of-the-table and unbeaten in Hampshire division 4B with a 3-2 win over second-placed David Lloyd 2.

All five matches finished 3-0 with Bounty's top three strings, Brook, Jose Carnero and Paul Newman all winning, while skipper Bruce Spittles (back row, extreme right) and young Paul Carnero both lost.

Bounty Vets 1 lost heavily again, this time to second-placed Army in the Berkshire league division one. Lance Kinder, at number five, picked up the only points in losing 2-3, while John Fowler, Watts, Bevington and Pete Jones all went down 0-3.

Bounty Vets 2 had a great battle with Civil Service 2 from Burghfield in Berkshire league division three, winning 3-2.

Four of the five matches went the full distance, with only Derek Dicker at number two having a straightforward 3-0 win.

Skipper Nigel Currie scored his first win for the team as he came from behind to win 3-2.

Unfortunately, Graham Macandrew and Peter Shead both went down in five-setters before Dicker levelled the match at 2-2.

This left the first strings to decide the match and Jose Carnero was the hero for Bounty as he won 3-2 after an extremely close game.
