Members of the Tudor Roses Ladies Harmony Chorus are celebrating after winning a grant of £1,024 in the National Lottery Awards-For-All programme.
It will allow the Winchester-based barbershop chorus to host more free workshops to encourage others to take part in the fun and friendship singing brings.
Said spokeswoman, Tessa Fothergil: "We are thrilled. We've been singing for eight years, always raising our standard and attracting new members.
"We thoroughly enjoy what we do and love to share the fun. We'll be busy now entertaining at parties and charity events, but after Christmas, we'll be hosting free workshops.
"We involved Highcliffe last time, as it's where we rehearse, but the next ones are planned for Winnall and Winchester Prison."
