A SPECIAL memorial service will be held at St Mary’s Church in Andover on Wednesday to remember those who died on 11 September in New York last year.
The service will be conducted by the Vicar of Andover, the Rev David Williams, starting at 10.30am.
The Mayor of Test Valley, Cllr Tony Gentle, will be in attendance
Mr Williams said: “It will be a communion service but not exclusively, so everyone is welcome to come along.” Special prayers will be said and there will be times of silence as well a lighting of candles.
The service will last about half an hour.
The horrors of 11 September will also be referred to during the Battle of Britain Parade, which will be starting at 2.30pm in the High Street on 15 September.
