CAN you imagine how a bricklayer might feel if people only ever talked about one wall that he'd built 25 years ago? Or a head teacher who was only remembered for an assembly he gave in 1981?

It's not hard to see why singer Kiki Dee must get frustrated at being associated with just one song - Don't Go Breaking My Heart (her 1976 duet with Elton John, in case you needed reminding).

But there's much more to Kiki than her one major hit - as fans and newcomers alike will discover when she visits the Tower Arts Centre, Winchester next week.

Kiki's career has spanned three decades and covered several different musical styles, from soul to classic pop. Her vast repertoire of live and recorded material includes eight UK top 40 hits and performances in major West End musicals.

In the last few years, the talented singer has expanded her horizons and begun exploring new areas of music with the help of guitarist Carmelo Luggeri, who she will be appearing with in Winchester.
