NEW businesses in the Southampton area now have a new home in which to grow and flourish following the opening of Basepoint.

The new enterprise centre is proving a big draw for new businesses with fledgling companies attracted by the flexible leasing terms.

The centre, the eighth for Basepoint plc is now open for business and the company says its unique selling point is the flexibility of its two-week licence agreement. Licensees may occupy any unit immediately after signing a simple licence agreement, subject to payment of rent for the first period in advance together with a modest deposit.

Basepoint is very excited by this new centre, their largest to date. Basepoint whose head office is in Winchester has been working very closely with the local authority in order to get this facility off the ground. It will bring with it new jobs and opportunities to an area that has long required improvement.

There are 81 new business units in total of varying sizes, built around a central courtyard. Each self-contained unit comes complete with power, heating, lighting and some have independent water supply. All workspaces have access to the common facilities of toilets and kitchen areas. There is even a caf on site!

All of the units are fitted out with CATe cabling, fully fitted digital telephone system and Broadband Internet access.

In addition Basepoint has teamed up with the Southampton Institute to provide business support to all occupiers.
