THE highlight of Overton Primary School's summer fete was a Civil War re-enactment between the Winchester Regiment and the Fairfax Battalia.
They performed two drill displays along with a skirmish to mark the end of the event, which was held to raise money for school funds. All the usual attractions were available, including craft stalls, a car boot sale, a barbecue and a bar.
Those attending were also encouraged to dress up and a prize was awarded for the best outfit.
