THE public inquiry into the plans for Andover High Street will take place in Andover Guildhall on Tuesday starting at 10am.
The inquiry is into a proposal made under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 to authorise the extinguishment of vehicular rights to the lower end of the High Street and to hear objections which have been received by the Secretary of State.
If accepted the proposal will lead to the removal of 33 parking spaces although 15 spaces for the disabled will be available.
The proposals, which have been under discussion for many years, have polarised opinion across the town and caused friction between Hampshire County Council and Test Valley Borough Council.
