RAY PAVESI turned in an excellent all round performance, to help Basingstoke and North Hants to victory over Uxbridge by 83 runs on Saturday.

The all-rounder top scored in the home's innings with 57 and then took 4-10 in the Uxbridge innings.

Basingstoke looked to be heading to defeat as their first five batsman managed to score just eight runs between them.

But, some solid bottom order batting led by Pavesi with Mitchell Stokes (31) and Russell Droy (25) helped Basingstoke to 189-9.

In reply the visitors were bowled out for 106, as Pavesi took four wickets and there were three from new South African spinner Paul Harris.

On Sunday, Basingstoke crashed to a 119 run defeat at Teddington after they were shot out for 75 with Keith Harsham top scoring with 33 and Chris Froud 20 the only other player to make it into double figures.

Earlier in the game Alistair Pearson took 4-38 in Teddington's innings of 194-7.

The previous day Basingstoke III travelled to Old Basing and crushed them by eight wickets.

The home side were bowled out for 55 with extras the only double figure score of 15.

Parfett was the pick of the bowlers taking 4-5 from 21 balls as all six players who turned their arm took wickets.

In reply Steve Dummer with an unbeaten 30 scored the bulk of their 56 target.

Honours ended even in the game between Basingstoke IV and visiting Old Basing II.

Coulston topped scored for the home side with an unbeaten 68, in their total of 182-6.

In reply Old Basing reached 175-6 with Huntingdon 59 and Brown 46 top scoring.

Basingstoke VI returned with a six wicket victory from Yateley IV as Frank Bonsey took 4-44 as the home side made 132-7.

In reply the visitors reached their target with Gray top scoring with 45.
