MOTORISTS, cyclists and pedestrians have been invited to have their say on how Fareham and Gosport's congested roads can be improved.

The clogged A32 and the proposed Stubbington bypass will be just some of the talking points at a three-day transport exhibition this week.

The public will have the chance to air their views on new road and rail strategies, public transport and improved cycle ways planned for the two boroughs.

The exhibition in the Octagon Room at Ferneham Hall, Osborn Road, Fareham, will also give the public the chance to give their views on the south coast's transport system in general and any ideas for improvements.

The exhibition is being organised by representatives from Halcrow, on behalf of the Government Office for the South East (Gose).

It is one of several being held across Hampshire this month.

David Turner, Halcrow project manager, said: "The various approaches towards dealing with future transport needs along the south coast reflect comments and feedback from a wide range of regional and local organisations as well as members of the local community. We are seeking to encourage as many people as possible to attend these exhibitions.

"Their views will help shape a framework for a better transport system for all."

Charlotte Dixon, acting regional director of Gose said: "It is tremendously important that at this final stage of the study the consultants receive feedback from all sections of the community."

The exhibition is open on Thursday from 6.30pm until 9pm, Friday from 10am until 6pm and Saturday from 10am until 4pm.

All comments should be received by Friday, June 21.
