A FRESH appeal for help has been launched by the parents of missing Hamble teenager Daniel Nolan.
Massive searches of the River Hamble and waterfront areas have failed to trace the 14-year-old who disappeared after a late-night fishing trip with pals at the main Hamble foreshore marina on News Year's Day.
Now Daniel's parents Pauline and Greg Nolan want to hear about any youngsters who have been approached by prowlers.
Their call has been prompted by Daily Echo stories telling how a "sinister stranger" tried to grab a 13-year-old paperboy in the Thornhill area of Southampton and that a scruffy middle-aged man had approached two young children in the same district.
Mrs Nolan said: "Any reports like this may help us to build up a picture of what may have happened to Dan.
"There is a possibility that this could help."
