THE new bird of prey hospital at The Hawk Conservancy near Andover has received a tremendous boost from the RSPCA.
The society has donated £2,400, with the money going towards two new bird-rearing incubators. They'll assist the conservancy's work with baby raptors and owls, as well as critically injured birds.
The cash has been raised by RSPCA volunteers and was handed over this week.
As Lucy Clark from the society explains: "We wanted to give something back to The Hawk Conservancy for all the help and assistance it gives us.
"We rely a lot on the staff's expertise and they look after any birds we find in the area at no cost to us. They also are invaluable when it comes to training our inspectors and animal collection officers."
Each year the Hawk Conservancy takes in scores of wild injured birds and unhatched eggs.
