THE Gosport Museum building celebrates its centenary this year and an appeal has been made for old pictures - of the interior.

Before becoming the town museum, the building was the former library and also housed the old grammar school before it moved to its current Bay House site.

Curator Ian Edelman pointed out there were plenty of photographs of the exterior and school activities in the last 100 years, but nothing about the interior during its library years.

Curator Ian Edelman said: "It's very surprising we don't have any pictures at all showing what it was like inside the library."

He has asked anyone with photographs taken inside the library to contact him.

He hopes they might be included in the soon-to-be-revised edition of the Architecture of Gosport Free Library and Technical Institute.
